How do they work
All living objects have a body temperature. Motion detectors are working with a passive infrared sensor that can see these temperature rays. They detect all movements of temperature in a room and combined with intelligent electronics they can distinguish persons walking around from pets but also from heat movement like sunshine or heating systems. This intelligent technology helps to avoid false alarms. Because it works with infrared detection it functions also perfectly in the dark.Different models of the passive infrared (PIR) detectors are available:
- IR60 PIR: wireless, 12 m wide-angle Fresnel lens, pet immunity up to 12 kg
- IR80 PIR: wired, 12 m wide-angle Fresnel lens, pet immunity up to 12 kg
- IR160 PIR: wireless, 18 m wide-angle with look down zone or 30 m continuous curtain (optional), pet immunity up to 25 kg, with Siemens black triplex mirror technology
- IR365 PIR: wireless, room surveillance 360° / 20m diameter, hard spherical lens
